Zhangjiajie Huangshi Zhai Cableway Earns "First-Class Enterprise of Safety Production Standardization" Award

Online, December 3, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Huangshi Zhai Cableway Corporation of Zhangjiajie World Natural Heritage Site takes pride in its recently earned title, "First-Class Enterprise of Safety Production Standardization", as awarded by the Fifth Session of the Second Council of China Cableway Association. The award highlights the corporation's efforts to reinforce fundamental safety in the "Sky Corridor" project in the China Forest Park. Along with the distinction, the Huangshi Zhai Cableway is granted 5S safety service standard of the national highest cableway enterprise.

A wide and thick peak-forest with an altitude of 1,092 meters, Huangshi Zhai is the largest among 3,000 others consisting of quartz sandstone. It was in November 1997 when the Huangshi Zhai Cableway became the 50-million Yuan "Sky Corridor" project for domestic and overseas tourists to visit Huangshi Zhai Scenic Area.

In early 2010, Huangshi Zhai Cableway Corporation reinvested more than 80 million Yuan to upgrade the cableway, and used the transparent compartments for the first time in Zhangjiajie. Due to its safe, comfortable and stable operations, it is very popular among domestic and overseas tourists.

The upgraded Zhangjiajie Huangshi Zhai Cableway could accommodate 2,000 tourists per hour, and has since been earning various awards. It is enlisted in the National Top 10 Cableways, and is recognized as an awardee of the Advanced National Cableway Enterprise Culture.

It is located in the southwest of the world natural heritage, Wulingyuan Quartz Peak forest which is a sandstone distribution zone that stretches to the northeast direction until the edge of West Sea, Maple Valley, and forms the world's only magic large peak-forest with 20 kilometers length and 10 kilometers width.

The Huangshi Zhai Cableway hit a history record of over 18,372 passengers in a single day during the golden week of "National Day" in 2013, with a short waiting time of 20 minutes. No tourist complaints were reported, and the satisfaction rate of sampled tourists was 96%. In addition, Huangshi Zhai Corporation provides a special human-oriented tracking service to assist senior or disabled visitors to the cableway compartment.
