Winter, Spring and Summer 2012: Children's Programs at Sheldrake Environmental Center

Winter in the Woods on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidents' Week

It's winter! Dress the kids in extra layers and bundle them up! Let them head for the woods to find out how animals stay warm and spend the crisp season! They'll search for clues - who's awake and who's asleep? They'll find winter birds, insects, egg cases (even butterflies!), and, look for signs of rabbits, deer, mice, chipmunks and squirrels. For ages 4-9; 9:30-12:30.

Soon Spring and Summer Are Back for the Kids!

The flowers are in bloom, the forest and pond are bustling with life. Have the kids come to Sheldrake to explore, investigate and discover what's springing up this spring! Tiny Trekkers (for ages 3-5 with caregiver), Young Explorers (for ages 4-5), Go Green Adventurers (for kindergarteners), and Holiday and Vacation Camps (for ages 4-9). Starting Mondays, March 19.

Come June, aren't we all looking for activities to keep our pre-schoolers occupied until summer camp starts? June Mini Camp is designed just for that! Until then, they'll be engaged in fun activities in the natural world. Weekdays, June 4-June 29, 9:30-12:30.

And, it's not too early to reserve a spot for your children in Summer Nature Camp. For ages 3 and older; weekdays, July 2-August 10, 1:30-3:30.
