Washington, DC area minority-owned business is the first American company to be awarded foreign publishing code in China

Bethesda, MD- On September 21, 2010 representatives of CAM Publishing Group, Inc., led by company President, Dr. Claude A. Mayberry, Jr., will host a meeting with a leadership delegation of the Chinese publishing company, Hebei Reading Media Co., Ltd (P.R. China). The delegation will be visiting the United States of America for what has become a ground-breaking event that will expand the realm of possibilities for global publishing, education, and economic growth.

CAM Publishing Group, Inc. will greet the visiting publishers at a small private event to execute an agreement to sell and distribute Science Weekly Magazine (a science and literacy instructional supplement for children ages 4-12) in both in English and Chinese to elementary and middle schools in the Hebei Province By virtue of this agreement, Hebei Reading Media Co., Ltd will assign CAM Publishing Group, Inc. a publishing "code" for Science Weekly Magazine, thus making CAM Publishing Group, Inc, the first American publishing company to be awarded such an assignment. The code will permit Science Weekly Magazine to be sold and distributed to public and private schools throughout China.

"This is a great opportunity to increase social awareness and interaction across cultures; and to communicate more effectively, the best practices in teaching science and mathematics in the elementary and middle schools," said Dr. Mayberry.

Science Weekly Magazine is a regular component of the approved elementary curriculum in more than 1000 school districts across the United States and has been a favorite amongst American elementary students and teachers for more than 25 years. Since its first publication in 1984, Science Weekly Magazine has introduced science and math concepts and reinforced teaching via a differentiated (grade-level specific) approach within a weekly teaching series. Fundamental concepts and basic facts are highlighted within real-world, age appropriate context; presented with a full-color, easy to manage, weekly "worksheet-style" curriculum for grades K-6. Each series supports the educator with separate Teaching Notes for each Level.
