"Washington Business Journal Bestows High Honors Upon Dr. Clayton G. Lawrence"

Winner of the WBJ's 2014 Minority Business Leader Award, Dr. Clayton Lawrence and his company, Lawrence Executive Alliance of Professionals (LEAP), LLC, are beginning 2014 with even greater promise after being highly recognized in 2013.

The Washington Business Journal announced Monday that Dr. Clayton G. Lawrence, CEO and President of Lawrence Executive Alliance of Professionals (LEAP), LLC, has been named a winner of its 2014 Minority Business Leader Award. Falling on the heels of LEAP winning the Small Business Community Association's Best of Business Award in November of 2013, Dr. Lawrence and his staff have been honored and humbled by the growing recognition.

LEAP, a medical staffing and services provider, has seen tremendous growth over the last three years. Under the leadership of Dr. Lawrence, a former military physician, LEAP delivers top-tier medical professionals to serve a wide range of medical facilities and patients. Its budding reputation as a leader in its industry comes at a time when healthcare is at the forefront of controversy throughout the nation. Dr. Lawrence and his staff recognize the unique opportunity that they have to provide the highest caliber of medical services in areas that need them most, both domestically and abroad.

The recognition of Dr. Lawrence and the work being done through LEAP and its non-profit partner organization, LEAP Foundation DC, has come from as high up as Capitol Hill. Nominated by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, earlier this year, for the Small Business Administration's Small Business Person of the Year Award, Lawrence fully embraces his leadership role within the business community, but also as a citizen concerned for the well-being of those in underserved areas around him. Having partnered with the Congresswoman on several community outreach initiatives in the Washington D.C. area over the last several years, Dr. Lawrence continues to be highlighted as a leader making an indelible impact in his community.

A 2013 inductee into Leadership Greater Washington (LGW), Lawrence feels he has been charged with a great responsibility to take his organizations further than ever before. "LEAP and LEAP Foundation DC, while each operates in different capacities, have been established to do one thing - help people," Lawrence says. "LEAP remains focused on transforming the medical staffing industry by recruiting only the best medical professionals to serve in facilities around the world, and LEAP Foundation DC will be ever diligent in its efforts to provide health and wellness educational opportunities and programs for disadvantaged citizens. It is only when my staff and I exceed the expectations for both organizations that we can do the greatest good; therefore, while these accolades are incredibly exciting, they only challenge us further to be the best we can be each and every day."

Dr. Lawrence would like to thank the Washington Business Journal for this prestigious award and looks forward to the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as he and his organizations continue to be recognized for their success. He invites everyone to join in celebrating the development and successes of diversity in the Greater Washington region on Thursday, March 20, 2014. The event will take place at the Ritz-Carlton DC located at 1150 22nd Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20037.
