Custom Master Plan Community In Henderson Has Resumed Construction

Henry Cheng had proposed a unique mansion housing community atop a Henderson mountain. Now that the housing market has regained momentum, the plan has resurfaced and is now under construction.

A luxury housing project that was put on hold when the market crashed a few years back is now in the process of development. Hong Kong billionaire Henry Cheng has resumed planning for a master plan community atop the mountains in Henderson.

People that want to live in one of these luxury mansions are being asked to put down a $50,000 deposit to reserve a lot. For now, the lots are going to be sold in phases. Currently each one is priced around $1 million.

The buyers will have the opportunity to design their own home. Cheng is allowing them a year to submit their proposal from the time of purchase and 6 months from then to begin construction. If buyers miss the deadlines, they can expect daily fines. However, they are able to purchase a two-year extension for the price of $50,000.

The community is set to hold 313 homes. Cheng believes that they will sell out within the first five years following development. So far only six lots have been reserved.

The project site was officially open on Aug. 21. It is located just south of Horizon Ridge Parkway off Roma Hills Drive. The site is more than 1,000 feet above the Vegas valley ground. There are no streetlights installed yet because the workers are currently in the process of building roads.
