The Samsung Zeal is a great feature phone offered from the Verizon network. A re-design of the popular Alias phone, Samsung kept the key features that made the phone unique, e-ink keys and dual flip, while adding some great features. Samsung redesigned the keys so they're easier to use, and the spacing is perfect for texting and messaging. The e-ink changes depending on what mode the phone is in. When in portrait mode, the numerical keypad is displayed with a number of shortcut keys. When opened in landscape mode, the keypad has the shortcut keys as well as the dial pad and switches to a full QWERTY keypad when there is a text field on the screen. The other unique feature, the dual flip hinges, are sturdy and hold up well to day-to-day usage. As far as the body of the phone, it feels solid yet is light and comfortable to hold. At 4 by 2 inches and .7 inches thick, it's slim enough to slip in a pocket.

The Zeal has a 1.3-inch display on the front that serves as a clock, date, battery meter, reception meter and a media player, with three audio control buttons under the display. Inside is a spacious 2.6-inch TFT LCD screen with fantastic colors and crisp lines. The screen looks great even in direct sunlight. With an external memory slot that can support up to a 32GB, users have plenty of space for any downloads, pictures, videos or music. The 2 megapixel camera is also able to capture video and is located on the back of the phone. The music player is easy to use, and the music sounds great on the stereo speakers. The Zeal has web access through Verizon's 3G network and there are plenty of apps available through the mobile market place, including Skype Mobile and Weather Bug. Music is available for download through Rhapsody. Verizon also provides VZNavigator in case GPS is needed. Overall, as far as feature phones are concerned, the Zeal has tons of options and definitely makes a name for itself among the competition.

Protect the Zeal with a protective shield. The shield is two pieces that snaps into place, providing the ultimate protection with minimal bulk. Because the shield is designed exclusively for the Zeal, all ports and buttons are still open and accessible. With many different colors available, users can find the one that fits their personality. They also come in different materials, both rubberized and smooth, giving the users another element to consider when picking a shield.

Use the Zeal safely in the car with a secure car mount. Car mounts come in many different forms, most of them with the ability to attach to the car's windshield so the phone is at eye level. We recommend the Naztech Dashboard View Mount. It can attach to the windshield as well as the dashboard mounting base that has a no-skid material on the bottom. This makes the mount extremely portable and can be placed wherever is most convenient for the individual. The holder can rotate 360 degrees so the user can put the phone at the ideal viewing angle. The holder has a quick button release so the phone can be removed quickly and without any hassle.
