UNCSA Student Receives Wake Forest University Presidential Scholarship

Dario A. Calabro a student from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts received the Wake Forest Presidential Scholarship for Distinguished Achievement.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dario A. Calabro, a 12th grader at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School Music Program received on April 7th, 2010 the prestigious Wake Forest Presidential Scholarship for Distinguished Achievement.

Dario, an advance student of classical saxophone at UNCSA, will be attending Wake Forest University in the fall of 2010 where he will be involved with the music department providing his talent to the Wake Forest Woodwind Ensemble and to the Saxophone Quartet.

Dario Calabro is currently attending UNCSA under the professional tutelage of world renowned saxophonist Taimur Sullivan, where he will be graduating with a high school diploma with an arts concentration in music.

Dario Calabro will be playing June 10th at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC
