TMG The Mortgage Group's President and Vice-President of Sales in Alberta have been named to Canadian Mortgage Professional's 2014 Hot List.
We are pleased to announce that Mark Kerzner, President of TMG The Mortgage Group and Gord Appel, Vice-President and Broker of Record for Alberta, have both been named to Canadian Mortgage Professional (CMP) magazine's Hot List for 2014.
Mark Kerzner brought his MBA and his experience working in management in various mortgage industry companies to his role as President of TMG in 2009. He has helped the company achieve phenomenal growth in terms of both overall production as well as the number of new agents who have joined TMG in the past four years.
"The broker channel has always been and continues to be resilient. Despite market challenges the industry has faced over the past five years, we have increased market share largely because brokers represent the best solution for consumers looking for mortgage financing," Mark said. "I am confident that broker share will continue to grow because, in an era of change, Canadians must rely on experts -- brokers."
Gord Appel has spent over 20 years in sales and customer service and ten years in the mortgage industry. In 2013, Gord helped the company increase its volume in Alberta by 25 per cent while at the same time improving funding ratios and increasing profitability by 12 per cent.
Gord is also the current sitting president of the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (AMBA).
"This year will be one of continued change and I expect most of the major markets across the country will remain strong," he said. "As for the broker market, I believe the industry will get better and stronger over the long term as the best and the brightest brokers adapt to the changes in the lending environment."
"We are proud that Mark and Gord have been recognized. Both have tremendous passion and vision for the broker industry," said Debbie Thomas, Founder and Partner of TMG The Mortgage Group. "They are both well-liked and respected as visionary leaders by colleagues and friends."
