The Fantastic, Sensational Little Planet Of Audio

The digital world of music is here because of the advancement of science and technology. If we look back into the sixties, Jimi Hendrix was exploring new sounds, not only with his guitar but also with his guitar effects pedals and his guitar amplifie

In all areas of our life the world is changing, and so can be said about the evolution of music. In this modern, digital world that we live in, more and more sounds, styles and music genres are created. While there will always be a place for analogue...digital technology has developed beyond everyone's expectations.

DAW's (Digital Audio Workstation) are the ultimate creative piece of music software that has revolutionised the way modern musician's work to bring their music creativity to fruition. It gives the ability for a solo artist to finally bring to life a song that comprises the music of a full orchestra, or having a specific sound that has been in the background of one's mind for so long to finally have it being heard for the first time, thanks to digital technology.

So does this mean that the music of old will die and never again be heard and new genres of music will instead take over the music that we listen to?. My answer to this is no. Yes, new genres of music will arise....Yes new genres of music will be heard more over time...but No, the music of old will never die. Music is universal and is made by creative musical souls that are within that specific time and era of influence. This however does not mean that a modern musician cannot write a classical symphony simply because the genre was established hundreds of years ago. Although genres were established by musicians of the past, it is merely a style that modern musicians can fall upon and use....just as a painter who uses old painting techniques to bring his/her own creativity to life.

For example, take a listen to the electronic rock pop artist Everisingsun. digital audio music . Here is a singer-songwriter who has taken modern technology and has blended the flavours of genres that you would never expect to hear modern, digital sounds of electronic keyboards, Phasers and Effects and yet the music sounds fantastic!. This musical genius has taken what technology has to offer and have managed to still keep the style and sound of old school Blues, Rock & Pop intact. Everisingsun's song 'If I Go' for instance, shows an old style rhythm & blues that is wrapped with an electronic groove in the background: Everisingsun - If I Go

The digital world of music is here because of the advancement of science and technology. If we look back into the sixties, Jimi Hendrix was exploring new sounds, not only with his guitar but also with his guitar effects pedals and his guitar amplifier. I am absolutley certain that he, along with every other musician in his era would have been using the technology we have today if it had only been available to them.

Embracing modern technology is a choice. We can either carry on and use the technology of old and still be creative....or we can use the technology that forever evolves to new, better and more innovative versions. But whatever one does in the world of creating music...we must always remember this... it is our mind that is the artist....not the technology!.digital audio music
