The Central Sarasota Farmer's Market Adds New Vendor
Award-Winning Bakery, Cheesecake Me Desserts, Opens Booth at Farmer's Market in Sarasota, Florida
Online, June 13, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Cheesecake Me Desserts, an online bakery, has joined the Central Sarasota Farmer's Market (CSFM) Saturday mornings at the Sarasota County Technical Institute (SCTI).
From gluten-free muffins and handheld apple pies to edible-image cookies and banana chocolate-chip bread, Cheesecake Me Desserts brings something special every week. Father's Day weekend features such manly treats as bacon-lattice apple pie and Jack Daniels chocolate cake in a mason jar.
Lisa Glenn, who has been a professional baker for more than 20 years, uses high quality, fresh ingredients and bakes everything from scratch to order. In April 2014, she won first place in the dessert contest at the Suncoast BBQ Bash for her chocolate salted caramel shortbread bars. Her husband, John, a professional chef for 25 years, creates the specialty artisan breads that are offered at the Farmer's Market every week.
"Since we don't have a brick-and-mortar store, the Farmer's Market gives us a venue to showcase our products," said Lisa.
The Glenns moved from Manchester, Connecticut, to Sarasota, Florida, in 2000. Lisa built a following for her treats while baking for local restaurants and catering for local businesses and families. She and husband John opened their online bakery in the fall of 2013 and now ship to customers around the country.

The CSFM meets every Saturday from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the SCTI at 4748 S. Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL 34233.
