Terry's Ford's Drive One 4UR School Event Was a Huge Success

Over $5,000 was raised and presented to the Education Foundation.

Terry's Ford of Peotone recently partnered with a local high school to put on a Drive 4UR School event for the first time and $5,870 was raised to benefit the local high school. The dealership sent out 111 registrations and will collect $2,200 for Helping Hands. The check was presented to the Education Foundation on Monday, November 19th.

The Ford Drive 4R Community program was created by Ford Motor Company to help Ford dealerships give back by raising money for local community groups and non-profit organizations. Organizations that have benefited from the program include housing projects, park renovations, and mentorship programs for at risk youth.

Ford developed its Drive One 4UR School program as a fun engaging way to help high schools raise money to support sports and other underfunded extracurricular activities. Ford dealerships across the country partner up with local high schools to put on test drive fundraising events with a selection of cars made available by the dealership for participants to test drive. For every valid test drive, Ford Motor Company donates $20 to the participating school, up to a total of $6,000. Since the program began in 2007, it has raised more than 12 million dollars for schools.

Not only does the program raise money for great causes, but it provides people with an opportunity to test drive the latest Ford models who may not have had the opportunity before. Terry's Ford is proud to help support the community.
