Summer Play Scheme for 8-14 Year Olds & Chelsea Square at the Kilburn Festival

Online, July 24, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Between Friday 2nd August and Saturday 24th August, Kingsgate Community Centre will host a summer play scheme for 8-14 year olds.

Each day a selection of different activities or events will be on offer and the cost per child is a very reasonable £2 or £3 per day. The activities will take place between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Some of the activities are go-karting, an animation workshop, outdoor games, cake making and decorating, circus skills, mask making, treehouse building and there are many more to choose from!

The venue for the play scheme is the Kilburn Grange Adventure Play Hut.

Chelsea Square Partnership sponsors the 2013 Kilburn Festival

Chelsea Square Partnership were sponsors of the Kilburn Festival on 14th July held at Kilburn Grange Park. Our banner welcomed friends and neighbours to the Festival.

Despite the punishing heat, around 10,000 people turned out and there was great demand for our face painter and free cupcakes. Chelsea Square partner Ray Jacobs brought along his vintage car and parked it beside the Chelsea Square marquee and Festival-goers took turns having their photo taken in it.

We had a free raffle with a prize of a £100 book token for West End Lane Books, which was won by local resident Jean Clarke.

Optional contributions for the face painting, cupcakes and raffle at the Kilburn and Jester festivals (combined) totalled £100. The money will be divided equally between two other organisations sponsored by Chelsea Square - Emmanuel Church and Kingsgate Community Centre.
