San Francisco, CA (I-Newswire) June 14, 2011 - Do you know a person or group who deserves recognition for leading community-based action for global social justice, economic equity, and sustainability? If so, showcase their inspirational efforts by submitting your photos to photocontest@fsdinternational.org.

PRIZES:
- 1st Place: $500 gift card to the online camera store B&H
- 2nd Place: Photo print from Stirring the Fire valued at $350
- All finalists get an FSD canvas bag and their photo published in major FSD publications

"Putting a face to grassroots development is an important part of FSD’s advocacy efforts," Foundation for Sustainable Development's Marketing and Communications Officer Robin Anderson-Wood said. "We are excited to grow these efforts through sponsoring a photo contest for YOU, our fans!"

Guidelines
- Submit up to five photos to photocontest@fsdinternational.org by June 24, 2011
- Photos should be .jpg or .bmp, in color or black & white, and at least 2.5mb in size
- Each photo must include a title of up to 140 characters; an additional 250 word description of the photo and the difference the development effort is making is preferred, but optional
- Photos must be submitted by the copyright holder or by permission of the copyright holder
- A panel of judges will announce 10 finalists from the applicant pool on July 1, 2011
- The winner will be determined by the most likes & comments on FSD’s Facebook Page. Limit one comment and one like per person.
