Stemvida International Issues Recall of StemAlive 90 Capsules

Incorrect labeling that omits milk as an ingredient cited as cause for recall

Stemvida International Corporation, based in Ontario, California has issued a recall on their StemAlive 90 Capsules. The product fails to declare milk among its ingredients on the label. People with allergies or sensitivities to milk run the risk of minor to severe reactions if they use this product.

The product is identifiable by its packaging: white plastic bottles with white lids and the Stemvidia brand clearly identified. The label features gold writing against a white background.

The following lot numbers and dates of expiration are affected: 8419 (05/2015 & 06/2015), 8486 (07/2015), 8535 (08/2015), 8598 (10/2015), 8652 (12/2015), 8863 (01/2016 & 02/2016), 8872 (03/2016), 8873 (04/2016 & 05/2016), 9040 (08/2016 & 09/2016), 9258 (10/2016) and 9314 (11/2016).

Consumers can find the lot numbers and expiration dates printed on the bottom of the product label in black ink.

The product was distributed to retailers and distributors in 10 states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

As of now, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.
