Renowned Beauty Duo Look To Make Good Close To Home

Online, November 15, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Jacqui Phillips and Andrea Fairweather, high-profile makeup artists to the stars and renowned beauty experts, are continuing their charitable partnership in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

The duo, who partnered in October for breast cancer awareness, said they saw an opportunity to make a difference close to their respective homes, which were in the massive storm's path of destruction.

"We started this partnership to raise money for a good cause," Phillips said. "Now, with these recent events and having seen the hardship and devastation in our community, we saw an opportunity to turn our attention to something close to our hearts. Just because beauty can't be seen in the aftermath of this storm doesn't mean that it is absent or can't be found. We want to help people to find it, starting with themselves."

The project will pair Phillips' Angel Girl by Jacqui Phillips Luminous Grace, Heavenly Glow and Scarlet Love lipgloss shades with Fairweather's Purple Craze, Hot Mocha and Heartbeat Face Charts respectively. The products were paired with the holidays in mind, in an attempt to give back something to many who have lost everything.

Each line will donate 10 percent of profits to relief efforts for Superstorm Sandy. Together, a total of 20 percent of proceeds will be dedicated to aiding victims of the storm.

Both women, who are renowned in the industry as beauty experts and artists, said that they saw the upcoming holiday season as an opportunity to attempt to empower people and, if possible, help them to find beauty that is separate from devastation.

"We have seen the scope of the damage from this storm, and we know that people need help," Fairweather said. "It is our sincere hope that, through these wonderful products, someone will be able to give themselves a holiday treat in a season where they might be feeling less cheery. While we can't give the victims back what they lost, we can try to bolster their spirits the best way we know how."
