Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) March 23, 2011 - As of January of this year, there are approximately 906 hospitals using some form of popular social media including blogs, Twitter, Foursquare, Linkedin, and Youtube [1]. As more organizations become involved in social media, healthcare professionals continue to search for latest innovations and best practices in the industry.

Developed in 2009, the Healthcare New Media Market Conference is an annual event designed to provide a platform for executives to learn and discuss the latest strategies in healthcare marketing and communications. This year’s event will be held May 23-24th at the Hilton Garden Inn North Shore. The conference will run two full days and will feature presentations from several of the nation’s leading hospitals.

Each year’s event welcomes a growing mix of social media thought leaders as well as those beginning to implement their new media outreach. In order to accommodate the diverse attendee delegation, the program will feature two education tracks. Track one focuses on practical applications including developing a social media platform from the ground-up to strategies for gaining leadership buy-in. Track two is designed for next generation challenges including organic search engine optimization and social media mobile capabilities.

In addition to the two tracks, attendees will have the benefit of a series of general case study driven sessions and panel discussions focusing on issues including inspiring internal physician communication and social media strategies for philanthropic success. Also, new to this year’s program will be series of un-conference breakout sessions, aimed at providing attendees with the opportunity to discuss which issues are most relevant to them in a peer setting.

Registration for attendees is now available for $795 per person.
