South Florida 4th Annual "Women and Men in the Arts Awards" Submission Deadline Extended, New Awards Categories Added

Award Submission Deadline through October 3, 2014 - New Categories added - Radio Host, News Anchor and Emerging Talent. The WMA Awards are dedicated to honoring and recognizing the wealth of talent in South Florida Entertainment Industry.

Women and Men in the Arts, (WMA), formerly Women in the Arts Miami, a philanthropic dedicated to honoring and recognizing the wealth of talent in South Florida Entertainment Industry, today announced the deadline extension for Submissions for the 4th Annual Women and Men in the Arts Awards.

The Women and Men in the Arts Awards recognizes South Florida’s leading women and men in fashion, film, beauty and the arts for extraordinary accomplishments and excellence in their craft.

Since 2009, Women in the Arts honors the contributors, organizations and individuals who have enriched South Florida’s arts community.

“At WTA, we are proud and honored to acknowledge the work of talented people in the Spanish and American markets,” said Diana Laura, Founder of Women in the Arts. “South Florida is brimming with talent in all aspects of the Arts community and in this highly competitive industry, there is space for all of us to shine at the same time.”

Submissions for the 2014 Awards are accepted in the following Categories: Magazine; Magazine Editor; Blog; Blogger; Fashion Designer: Swimwear, Women’s Wear, Men’s Wear, Jewelry & Accessories; Model: Runway and Fitness; Casting Director; Talent Agency; Publicist; Film Producer; Film Director; Screenwriter; Actress: Film and Theater; Actor: Film and Theater; Entertainer: Vocalist; TV Show; Feature Length Film; Short Film; Artist (Paint); Photographer; and Make-up Artist. The following Categories have been recently added - Radio Host, News Anchor, Entertainment Show and Emerging Talent.

Applicants must reside within the South Florida area, including Miami-Dade, Palm-Beach and Broward counties. A Panel consisting of fashion industry insiders and past award recipients will evaluate submissions and Finalists Submissions will be posted online at www.womenintheartsmiami.org for public voting.

Submission Deadline: October 3, 2014.

The Red-Carpet Awards Ceremony and Gala will take place in October, 2014 at a location to be announced. Award winners will be revealed during a gala event, including the awards presentations, Red-Carpet reception, Nominee Meet and Greet, entertainment and silent auction.

Past Award Winners include: Kimberly Shenker- Bacardi, William Kennedy, Bill Malelish, William Chacon, Maritza Bedoya, Adriana de Moura (Real Housewives of Miami), Alexia Echevarria (Real Housewives of Miami), Lynn Martinez (Deco Drive), Mercedes Soler (CNN NotiMujer), Natalia de la Cruz (Power 96), Karen Greer Talent, Zamora Swimwear and Ocean Drive Magazine.
