Growing Firm Wins 2nd Consecutive PRSA 'Best In MD' Website Award
Historic win for IMPACT Marketing honors creativity, quality of website kindermender.com
Ellicott City, MD, December 5, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has given its 2014 “Best In Maryland” website award to IMPACT Marketing & Public Relations, LLC (IMPACT). Also the 2013 winner, IMPACT boasts the historic achievement of back-to-back wins within the category.
IMPACT President Duane Carey accepted the award at the Best In Maryland Gala held on Dec. 4 at the Hilton Baltimore. The winning website was www.kindermender.com for KinderMender, a walk-in pediatric clinic with locations in Columbia, Glen Burnie, and Laurel.

Modeled after the PRSA’s Silver and Bronze awards, the “Best In Maryland” awards are presented annually to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a communications challenge with exemplary professional skill, creativity, and resourcefulness. This year’s entries were judged by PRSA’s Orange County, Ca. chapter.
“Our challenge was twofold: first, inform parents that KinderMender exists, and second, convey how much more convenient and child-friendly it is than the ER,” said Carey. “We designed the site to feature everything that makes this business so important in the community, especially its amazingly short wait time and child-focused decor.”

The 2014 PRSA award is just the latest achievement for IMPACT as the firm approaches its 10th anniversary in April 2015.
On Sept. 19, Carey was honored as the Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Business Person of the Year. IMPACT won the 2013 PRSA “Best In Maryland” website award for its redesign of www.kbebuilding.com for KBE Building Corporation, a $300 commercial construction management company with regional offices in Connecticut and Maryland.
