Rayotek Scientific, Inc. is proud to announce it has been awarded an exciting new contract from Boeing for the Commercial Crew Transportation Capability Program (CCtCap). Rayotek will work in conjunction with Boeing and NASA to provide custom windows and engineering services that safely enable astronaut transportation to and from the International Space Station.

With the successful fabrication and testing of all windows for the NASA/Lockheed Orion Spacecraft under its belt and counting down the hours to launch, Rayotek will now turn its attention to this new contract. The CCtCap contract will enable Rayotek Scientific to continue providing its space expertise: consulting, engineering and manufacturing fused silica windows, rocket engine sight windows, laser defect scanning systems and the proof pressure test systems; all necessary aspects for the fabrication of spacecraft windows.

"The confidence Boeing and NASA have placed upon Rayotek's capabilities to insure window integrity and human safety is a testament to the trust they put in our window engineering and fabrication capabilities."

Bill Raggio, President and Chief Technology Officer

“Rayotek Scientific is extremely honored and privileged to have been awarded this contract” says Bill Raggio, President and Chief Technology Officer. “The confidence Boeing and NASA have placed upon Rayotek’s capabilities to insure window integrity and human safety is a testament to the trust they put in our window engineering and fabrication capabilities.”

As with the NASA Orion Window Contract, Rayotek is the sole supplier of engineering, windowpane fabrication and window testing for the Boeing CCtCap spacecraft. In the aerospace community, Rayotek is the top US company specializing in window and sight window engineering and manufacturing. In addition to the windows the astronauts will be looking through, Rayotek makes the sapphire sight windows used by United Launch Alliance (ULA) for their rocket engines. These sight windows will be used to launch both Orion and the CCtCap craft.
