Pointe 400 Named One of 2013's Top Luxury Apartment Communities in St. Louis

Downtown luxury apartment community honored by the St. Louis Apartment Association

Pointe 400, a luxury apartment community in downtown St. Louis, accepted a prestigious 2013 "Community of the Year" award last week. The St. Louis Apartment Association presented the award during their annual Rising Stars Banquet, which recognizes excellence in the multifamily housing industry. The banquet was held on April 19th at the Sheraton Westport, and was widely attended by over 600 apartment industry professionals in the St. Louis area.

Located in the former Pet Milk office building, Pointe 400 re-opened in 2006 as St. Louis luxury apartment rentals, developed and managed by Balke Brown Transwestern. The community is most known for offering downtown residents unparalleled close-up views of Busch Stadium and the Arch. Pointe 400 also provides residents with high-end amenities including a dog park, sky lounge and complimentary Starbucks coffee bar. An outdoor pool is scheduled to open in May 2013 on the property's 40,000 sq. ft. outdoor veranda.

"What really sets Pointe 400 apart as a great community is our level of service - it is all about making our residents happy," said community manager Deanna Haas, who also took home a 2013 Award for Multi Site Supervisor of the Year. "Our residents have a dedicated on-site staff, as well as easy access to our signature leisure services, such as maid service, dry cleaning pickup and even car detailing services."

The Community of the Year Awards are the highlight of the SLAA banquet, but awards are also given to outstanding individuals in the industry. Balke Brown Transwestern took home four awards in total: Property of the Year Under 200 Units, Built Pre-2000 (Pointe 400), Best Multi-Site Supervisor (Haas - Pointe 400), Best Grounds Person (Bert Yvanes - Parkway Lakeside), and Rising Star of the Year (Nicholas Brown - Parkway Lakeside).
