PODS Enterprises, Inc. Supports 2012 Toys For Tots Drive With Large Charitable Donations

Moving and storage company spreads goodwill by collecting thousands of toys, saves charity thousands in operational costs

Clearwater, Fla. (I-Newswire) February 6, 2013 - PODS Enterprises, Inc., a national leader in the moving and storage industry, had much success during its third annual national charity collaboration with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

PODS donated more than 346 PODS® containers to support the annual holiday toy drive in more than 200 communities across the United States. The donated containers saved Toys for Tots thousands of dollars for moving and storage logistics. The annual Toys for Tots program, which runs from October – December, collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes them as Christmas gifts for children in need throughout communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The PODS® containers served as collection points, which increased visibility for the toy drives, and safely and securely stored the donated toys.

In the 65 years since the Toys for Tots program began, the Marines have distributed more than 467 million toys to more than 215 million underprivileged children.
