Overstock Liquidation Makes Early Delivery for Santa

Decatur mattress store makes first graders holiday wishes come true.

Decatur, Ga (I-Newswire) December 20, 2012 - A local mattress and furniture store has been busy working with Santa to make holiday wishes come true. Overstock Liquidation in Decatur, GA made a special delivery yesterday of a new mattress and box springs to First grader, Toriantis Taylor, 7, who was sharing space with six children in a small apartment.

Sleeping head to foot, Toriantis shared a twin bed with her 13 year old sister each night. “We’ve done the best we can, with the things we have,” her mother, Ms. Taylor explained, but space and money is understandably tight for the family of eight.

“When we heard about their situation, we knew we could help,” said Aaron Van Tosh, owner of Overstock Liquidation in Decatur, Ga. “We want to give back to the community the way they’ve given to us over the last two years and encourage our customers to do the same.”

When Toriantis’ new mattress and box springs arrived wrapped in a green and red bow, she was all smiles. “Santa knew exactly what I wanted!” she exclaimed. This was a welcome gift for her sister too--this will be the first night that they haven't shared a bed.
