Perle TruePort COM Port Re-director Utility Supports Oracle Solaris 11 for True Remote Serial Ports over an Ethernet LAN.

Nashville (I-Newswire) December 11, 2012 - Perle Systems, a global provider of advanced Serial over Ethernet and secure device networking solutions, today announced Oracle Solaris 11 support for its TruePort COM Port re-director utility. TruePort driver v6.3 can be downloaded from Perle’s website.

Perle TruePort is installed on the application server. All COM port directed data sent by the application is re-directed by TruePort across an IP/Ethernet network to remote Perle Terminal Servers or I/O Device Servers which have targeted devices connected to them. Data and serial port signalling is transparently communicated between the application and remote device.
