Owner Kyle Daley invented the internet game as a means to raise awareness and help people and children around the world and at home who are less fortunate. Daley reflected, "When you sit back and look at the standard of living most have and then to know there are men, women and children who live day-to-day in a constant state of hunger, sickness or homelessness you have to ask yourself, is there more I could be doing?"

In 2010, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimated there are 925 million people around the world who are living in poverty.

The Treasure map is a collage of icons each linking to individual sponsoring websites. The game is played by clicking your mouse on an icon which brings you to one of the sponsoring website. You then search the various pages of the sponsoring website for a special Treasure Marker. "When you have found the Treasure Marker you will also find instructions on how to claim the prize," Daley commented.

Daley is allowing soon to be treasure hunters a "special" limited time preregistration on the website. Daley hinted, "Respondents who register will receive clues to finding an exclusive treasure others will not be privy too."

Anyone 18 years or older can register to play the Million Dollar Treasure Hunt. Respondents can register at http://milliondollartreasurehunt.com.

Businesses wanting more information on sponsoring the treasure hunt can visit the Million Dollar Treasure Hunt to request more information.
