Babies are born with over 200+ known toxins in their blood. The mothers are exposed to toxins in the air, from food, makeup, etc. and these get transmitted to the baby. Some of these toxins are associated with obesity, neurotoxicity, and even cancer. Dr. Sachar has created the world's only nontoxic makeup that is safe in pregnancy.

Dr. Sachar is a double board-certified Obsterician/Gynecologist and High Risk Pregnancy Specialist. He recognized that toxin exposure by the mother during pregnancy exposes the fetus to risk. It is now known that women who live in an area of high pollution have babies that weigh less because the mothers get less oxygen, and more toxins and the baby cannot grow to its full potential. Furthermore we have noted that exposure to certain chemicals found in everyday products such as cosmetics, pesticides, and air pollution, can have long term effects in the baby such as obesity, adult infertility when they grow up, breast cancer, prostate cancer and other long term morbidities.

Dr. Sachar created this line of safe nontoxic makeup for pregnant women to give them a safe choice for their cosmetic needs.

Dr. Sachar's mission is timely as the The Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act of 2013 introduced on March 21, 2013 in the USA was designed to give the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authority to ensure that personal care products are free of harmful ingredients and that the ingredients are fully disclosed. Dr. Sachar has taken it upon himself to create the only makeup line devoted to safety in pregnancy that already follows this act.

"I wanted to bring my medical expertise and merge it with the beauty industry to create the only product line in the world addressing the beauty needs of pregnant women" says Dr. Sachar.
Dr. Sachar's line will be available this summer at www.VSACHARMD.com, he is also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/VSACHARMD, and you can follow him on twitter @VSACHARMD.

"Our website will have a posts and video relating to pregnancy care from me personally. I hope to create a forum where pregnant women can go to learn about their pregnancy issues and find safe cosmetic products as well."

Dr. Sachar completed his fellowship at the prestigious University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at his current hospital. He is also regularly recruited for his expertise in Quality Assurance in Medicine.
