Austin, TX (I-Newswire) January 27, 2014 - Author Randall Reneau is pleased to announce the release of his third "Trace Brandon" novel, Ruby Silver (ISBN: 978-1482797510). Ruby Silver finds protagonist Trace Brandon and his former adversary, Cyrus "the Virus" McSweeny, working together in a fast paced mining, murder, short-selling, offshore-trading, mobbed-up, mystery/thriller set in the Pacific Northwest.

The "Trace Brandon" novels are loosely based on Mr. Reneau's 36 years as an international geologist. During his career he worked in Africa, South America, Mexico, and the U.S. He later founded several publically-traded mining and oil and gas companies, serving as Chairman and CE0. Award-winning author Ken Hodgson has compared Reneau's style of writing and story telling to that of Clive Cussler. His style has also been compared to that of South African writer, Wilbur Smith.

Reneau's first novel, Deadly Lode (ISBN: 978-1479131792), won the Reviewers Choice Richard Boes Award for best debut novel, and the NABE Best Thriller of 2013 Award. The sequel, Diamond Fields (ISBN: 978-1480082267), won First Place (fiction) and overall Grand Prize in Five Star Publications' Royal Dragonfly Book Awards.
