Elaine Lockard, intuitive business mentor coach and professional intuitive, is proud to announce the launch of her new book, "21 Ways to Ease Foot Pain," on June 14, 2010. Meticulously researched and with a comprehensive reference list, the book overflows with real world, effective tips and therapy methods that are proven to mitigate one of the most common ailments in the country. Lockard will be interviewed about her own formative journey on the "Help me Rhonda...NOW" show on VoiceAmerica radio (www.voiceamerica.com), on June 24 at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT).

"Foot pain is an enormous distraction that can make even the most philosophic minds lose their focus," says Lockard. "I suffered for years with my own foot pain, and found passion in helping the ones who need my help the most, those whose pain and suffering I understand so very well. That's why I wrote this book. When every step causes pain, there's no way you can give your best at work, at home with your family, or even at your leisure. Chronic foot pain can muddle your mind, dull your attention and simply make you miserable."

Lockard's own journey in coping with chronic foot pain began in 1995 while a cruise. She pulled a tendon in her right foot and did not seek immediate medical attention. As she limped around in pain, the increased stress caused her to strain a tendon in the other foot. After numerous treatments, many of them incorrect and ineffective, the chronic pain in both feet led her to spend years researching the many reasons for, and the many approaches to, pain relief.

"21 Ways to Ease Foot Pain," also available in an accessible, graphics-free version for the visually impaired, covers self-treatments, herbal therapies, physical therapy, medical manipulation, and pain relief orthotics, among other ways to lessen the pain. Readers will understand which ones are most likely to address their particular foot pain and discomfort directly, and take immediate steps to try it for themselves. Lockard's already done the legwork - and the footwork - for them!

Here's what some experts have to say about the book:
"I loved this book," says Ginger Oringer, DC, CCN. "I enjoyed reading about Elaine's healing journey with chronic foot pain. She is informative and entertaining while educating us about the various healing and medically oriented modalities available. It seems that pain, especially chronic pain, often needs to be approached from more than one direction. Elaine does a good job of showing us the choices available."

"I have been a coach for three years and a professional acupressure massage therapist for 20 years. There is information in this book that even I, as a professional massage therapist, didn't know about," says Teresa Christian, Coach on Fire. "This is a very easily digested book with lots of very good, useful information. Elaine has a writing style that is concise, clear and very informative that makes her material easy to absorb. I was delightfully surprised and will highly recommend this book to all my clients."
