Moe’s Southwest Grill Introduces the Moe Legendary Premiere

Triangle-area stores and Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at Marbles Partner for the Dark Knight Rises Premiere

Raleigh, N.C. (I-Newswire) June 23, 2012 - This summer, guests of Moe’s Southwest Grill in the Triangle area will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win four tickets to the exclusive Moe Legendary Premiere, a black carpet first screening of Dark Knight Rises on NC’s biggest screen at Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at Marbles in downtown Raleigh on July 20, 2012.

Beginning Monday, June 18, Moe’s will enter into a realm where Batman will officially take over, making fans’ favorite superhero story come to life right in their neighborhood Moe’s location. Guests will have the opportunity to order either a cup or bowl of queso to receive a scratch-off ticket for the chance to win either four tickets to the Dark Knight Rises premiere, Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre film and concession vouchers or Moe’s food.

Christopher Nolan’s Batman series starring Christian Beal has a massive fan base with theatre lines stretching out the door on the opening nights of the previous 2005 and 2008 Batman films. The Dark Knight film from 2008 set numerous records during its theatrical run and is the eleventh highest-grossing film of all time, with over $1 billion in revenue worldwide. The last film in the Batman series, which also stars Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Liam Neeson will air on the state’s biggest movie screen only at the Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at Marbles, making this screening the most in-demand tickets in town.

While making the 2008 blockbuster The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan was the first filmmaker to use IMAX® cameras in a major motion picture release. Nolan employed the extremely high-resolution cameras even more extensively on The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience® —including the film's prologue — incorporating a record of more than an hour of footage filmed with IMAX cameras.
