I just need to lean closer," she said with a grin.
She climbed up on her chair and then... Betty fell in!"

Mellanie Bauslaugh, a graphic designer and co-owner of an interactive game company in London, Ontario, Canada has applied her artistic skills to create a beautiful children's ebook, based on her daughter.

"Alpha Betty Soup started as a series of drawings of my daughter, Marley, " says Alpha Betty Soup author and illustrator, Mellanie Bauslaugh. "Being 5 years old (at the time), she was very interested in the letters of the alphabet and was beginning to learn to read, so an ABC book was a natural choice for me, as her mom."

"I had lots of fun writing all of the silly, rhyming verses of the book and drawing the matching illustrations for each letter of the alphabet," says Bauslaugh. "I really enjoyed seeing the delight on my daughter's face as I developed the Betty character and took her on this giggly journey through the ABCs."

Alpha Betty Soup teaches the letters of the alphabet in a fun and playful way. Loaded with colourful illustrations and delightful rhymes, it is a joy to read for children, parents and teachers alike.

From rocket riding rabbits to vacuuming vampires, the readers are taken on an alphabetical adventure with little Alpha Betty as their guide.

There is a playful energy about this book that makes it a delightful, unique read.
