Online, March 5, 2012 (Newswire.com) - KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com) and Balfour Beatty Construction (www.balfourbeattyus.com) have begun work together on the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Control Wing Basement Modernization and Major Mechanical design-build initiative. The $12 million design-build project is taking place at the Long Island McArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, New York. KBE is working with Balfour Beatty through a partnership agreement. This is the second project on which the two construction firms have teamed.
The project consists of major mechanical and electrical renovations and replacements within the mission-critical data center facilities. The architectural renovations within the facilities include replacement of access flooring, new ceilings, and lighting throughout.
