ISO 9001 Certification Body Awards 20,000th Certification

QMS, an ISO 9001 certification body based in Norwich have awarded their 20,000th ISO certification. A major milestone for the company, they are now looking to the next goal of 30,000.

QMS International PLC, a Norwich based ISO 9001 certification body announced its 20,000th ISO certification in August 2012 with a presentation to Lexington Catering.

Issuing a variety of internationally recognised standards published by the International Organisation for Standardisation this was a major milestone for QMS who are hoping it is only the start of more good things to come.

ISO certifications are highly respected within a wide range of industries and over 1 million organisations now hold an ISO 9001 certification worldwide. Evidence of an ISO 9001 standard proves the quality of work to potential clients, customers and suppliers which can certainly increase the potential of large contracts and winning important tenders.

An ISO 9001 certification body plays an extremely important part in the assessment process when a company is looking to become certified and QMS have really broken the boundaries of how this process takes place. Taking away bureaucracy and unnecessary red-tape, businesses with QMS can expect to receive their certification just 30 days following the 2 day assessment.

The 20,000th certificate is a major milestone for QMS and on the build-up to the occasion an in-house competition was run for all staff members which gave them the chance to win a luxury holiday for two by guessing the correct certification presentation date. Luckily for QMS' office manager his prediction was spot on and will soon be jetting off on the fabulous vacation.

The 30,000th certification is the next target to aim for and the ISO 9001 certification body are now more focussed than ever to achieve this goal. Peter Gamble, Managing Director of QMS commented "When I started at QMS I had a vision of where I wanted the business to be, but I never imagined reaching this milestone in the company's history. I would like to thank the clients and staff who have made this possible."
