International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and UT’s College of Business Administration will share best practices, research and thought leadership

Knoxville, Tennessee (I-Newswire) October 13, 2010 - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (lAOP®) has formed an academic alliance with the University of Tennessee College of Business Administration to promote outsourcing.

The association and the college’s Center for Executive Education have been working together on a “Vested Outsourcing” program that teaches best-in-class performance based outsourcing. The unique program is based on findings from a recent year-long study of how progressive commercial companies are applying Vested Outsourcing as a key way to improve performance at a lower price.

IAOP and UT’s College of Business Administration will share best practices, research and thought leadership. The college also will have the opportunity to participate on IAOP committees and at its events.

“We are pleased to collaborate with the University of Tennessee on the Vested Outsourcing program that is changing traditional approaches to buying outsourced services,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “Through academic alliances like this one, IAOP continues to promote and advance the management practice and industry of outsourcing.”

“This partnership continues to advance the academic excellence our college and center provide to organizations,” said Ted Stank, associate dean of executive education for UT’s College of Business Administration. “IAOP is a leader in the field, and we’re proud to be associated with an organization of its caliber.”

IAOP’s other academic partners around the globe include Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University in Canada; Boston University School of Management Institute for Global Work (IGW); California State University Fullerton (CSUF)’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics Center for Emerging Markets; Duke’s C.I.B.E.R.
