Greywinds Contributes to USO's First-Ever Female Care Package Event

Greywinds is contributing body butters, shower gels, hand and body lotions, foot scrubs and lip glissades to the USO's First Female Care Package Event.

In an effort to support and recognize women in the military, the USO is holding the first-ever female care package event. Female soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan will receive care packages assembled on Wednesday, November 18 at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington DC.

Greywinds, a Gift Set and Bath Products business based in Raleigh, NC is donating bath and personal care products for this event. Lip glissades, body butters, shower gels, hand and body lotions and foot scrubs will be part of these care packages. "This is a real pleasure to be able to send these soldiers products that say not only thank you, but also pamper them a bit in the process," said Ann Jagger, President of Greywinds.

Dr. Jill Biden will kick off the event. She will be joined by Members of Congress, Spouses of Senior Military Leadership, Community and Corporate Leaders, Media and just plain caring folks who have a goal to assemble 2,000 care packages and prepare them for departure.

Greywinds is working with Rebecca Vaughan at The Benchmarking Company in Washington DC. To donate product or for more information, please contact Ms. Vaughan at rebecca@benchmarkingco.com.
