Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim Announces Advisor Position

Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim was honored to accept the position, and she looks forward to the opportunity to use her business acumen to help the people in her native country.

Although she left Korea when she was a very young person, Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim has been a passionate supporter of her homeland throughout her lifetime, and she's often been asked to represent her country's interests through her various writings and speaking engagements. Recently, her connection was made more formal when she was proclaimed the Advisor to the Gyeongsangbuk-Do Province for International Cooperation in South Korea. This honorary position will last until 2013.

Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim was honored to accept the position, and she looks forward to the opportunity to use her business acumen to help the people in her native country.

"I have an extensive amount of experience in running a large company and making sure that all of the details are handled in the proper manner," says Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim. "While running a province isn't the same as running a company, of course, there are some details that do cross over."

She plans to provide some logistical support on matters relating to education and business development, and she may also be asked to provide some assistance to people who wish to immigrate to the United States.

"In essence, anything I can do in order to help smooth the way for this province and make sure that all international cooperation is handled in an efficient and effective way, I am willing to do that," says Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim. "I plan to devote a significant amount of time and effort to this project, making sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. It's a very great honor, and I intend to take the honor seriously!"

This honor comes upon the heels of other awards, including the title of "Hope of the Country of Korea," bestowed upon Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim by President Kim Dae Jun. Dr. Kim has also been asked to speak in Korea multiple times, and her life story has been played in a 40-day live broadcast, produced by KBS Radio International. Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim was also provided with the Hwang Hee Culture and Arts Prize in Seoul, Korea in 2002.
