The weekend program gives working executives, entrepreneurs and family managed businesses a cutting edge advantage. Those who go through the program get acquainted with the latest concepts and trends in management, which can be applied to their professional lives. The three-year program approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is delivered from the heritage campus in Ribandar, which provides the perfect setting for students to further their professional goals.

Goa Institute of Management has grown to become one of the most respected B-Schools in the country since its inception in 1993. The institute focuses on creating a dynamic learning environment which fosters academic engagement through meticulous planning and design of a bouquet of programs meant to suit students' specific needs. The Part-Time PGDM program has been designed to ensure that working executives can get post graduate qualifications while continuing to meet their professional responsibilities.

Importantly, it gives their careers a new boost so that they can take it to a whole new level altogether. Poonam Chalaune, Assistant Manager (Engineering), Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited believes, "The PGDM (Part Time) programme at GIM is transformational. It's a versatile curriculum that helps students make the big transition in their lives." Working professionals from different walks of lives can benefit from this program and bring about a major turnaround in their careers to scale new heights of success. According to Francisco Fernandes, Sesa Goa, Senior Officer HR, "Joining the program not only helped me to acquire new management skills. Most of all it has given me the confidence to handle difficult and crucial job situations. It has also planted a seed of starting my own enterprise in future."

Delivered by renowned faculty members, many of whom have industry experience, the program also aims to help entrepreneurs, who can use their learning to grow their business and plan new ventures in the future. Kiran Pikale, Proprietor, Knowell Engineering, also runs other businesses and enrolled for the program with an eye on the future. According to him, the decision was completely worth it: "The PGDM (Part Time) enhanced my confidence and refreshed my management skills. This is a platform to learn how to manage businesses in the current economic climate." While GIM helps create a solid platform for students with a healthy blend of theory and practice, it also keeps their convenience in mind at all times.

The program design makes sense for working executives and business owners who can make the most of the learning it offers them. Like previous years, the PGDM - Part Time program will be held on weekends at the Ribandar Campus. The classes are normally held on Saturdays between 4.30 to 8 pm and on Sundays between 9 to 6.30 pm.
