The event attended by the who's who in different walks of life, was held on 17th Feb at Taj Land's End in Mumbai and GIM walked away with the prized trophy.
This year, Stars of the Industry Group and DNA came together to honour B Schools that have gained a competitive edge through Innovation. These awards stemmed from the belief of the organizers that Innovation is the key to the future and what separates leaders from followers. And it wasn't surprising that top B Schools from all over the country competed for the coveted prizes.
The awards were divided into several categories, including innovations in teaching methodology and placements. Innovation in Building Academic and Industry Interface was one of the much anticipated awards on the big day, as B Schools in the country focus on offering relevant exposure to its students and making them industry ready. And that's where GIM scored highly and bagged the award.
The significance of the award is highlighted by the fact that it was organized by Private Universities Forum, CMO Asia & Business School Affaire, all reputed names in the world of education. Moreover, a huge turnout of senior leaders and professionals from different industry segments made the day truly special for the winners, including GIM. It also won the Silver award at the first Indian Management Conclave (IMC) Awards 2013. The award was presented by Mr. Shashi Tharoor and given to GIM for excellence in 'Innovation in Curriculum' for the 'Give Goa Initiative'. The latest award seems like further recognition for the innovative approach that the institute has made its hallmark.
