FORE School of Management, New Delhi announces the opening of its admissions for its two-year PGDM and PGDM-International Business (PGDM-IB) programmes for the 2014-16 batch. The application forms are available online and the application window will be open till 25th November, 2013.

Since its inception in 1981, FORE School of Management, New Delhi has been consistently ranked as one of the top B-schools in India. Recently, it was awarded the 'Best B-School of North India' by ASSOCHAM under its National Education Excellence Awards, 2013. FORE School of Management is also rated A** at the National Level and A*** at the Delhi NCR Level by CRISIL.

The 23rd batch of the PGDM programme and the 8th Batch of the PGDM-IB programme will benefit from FORE's strong industry-academia linkages, excellent placement record with multiple offers for students, international immersion programme for all students and a faculty pool comprising those with prior industry experience and PhDs from leading Indian and overseas Universities and institutions.

"At FORE, our focus is on academic rigour and cutting-edge education," says Dr. Jitendra K. Das, Director, FORE School of Management. "For example, use of software applications such as SAP, Advanced Business Intelligence, SAS, Music2Go, Marketing Simulation, etc., has been an integral part of the curriculum and in line with latest industry requirements. Our key to success has been the opportunities we create for our students to interact with the corporate world."

This strong industry orientation is reflected in the placement numbers at FORE School of Management, New Delhi. Last year, the average CTC was approximately 8 lacs INR and the highest CTC went up to 33 lacs INR. Some of the leading recruiters of the school for 2012- 2013 were Accenture, Baxter India, Castrol, Grail Research, HSBC, Citibank, Michael Page International, L&T and Ogilvy & Mather, to name a few.

For the 2013-15 batch at FORE, CAT scores were given 40% weightage, while 60% were given to other components of evaluation. As Professor Neeraj Kumar, the Executive Chairman-Admissions at FORE, says, "We realize that CAT scores are not the only indicator of managerial potential. Therefore we look at work experience, performances in personal interviews and group discussions and consistent academic performance as an important part of the selection criteria. In the past, it has not been uncommon for us to come across candidates with relatively lower CAT scores exhibiting high managerial potential".

To be eligible, an applicant has to have a Bachelors degree or equivalent (10+2+3) from a recognised university in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. Students in the final year of graduation can also apply. FORE will accept only CAT 2013 scores for admissions to the 2014-16 batch.
