The American Home Show will make its West Coast debut at Town Center Community Park in Santee just east of San Diego. The three-day event will showcase companies whose products are designed, manufactured or assembled in the USA.
The show will feature a wide selection of home improvement products, including doors, windows, lawn care equipment, appliances, and items for both home and garden.
"Building new homes with American products will positively impact our local and national economies and it is something our citizen's will take pride in for years to come" said show director, Mike Hagstrom.
"We are proud to bring such an important and unique showcase to San Diego County and the state of California. "Santee was the perfect choice to host this show because of its location at the hub of three freeways and its concentration of major retail outlets," Hagstrom added.
"We encourage everyone to come out for some great family fun and to celebrate being an American."
The FREE event will include live music, a children's carnival, California wine tasting, and a micro-brew beer garden, a casino night and gala, and business networking hosted by the Santee Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Manzanita Brewing Company.
American Solar Direct will be presenting workshops on the value of their energy leasing program, and also handing out free samples from the People's Choice Barbeque Cook-Off.
The People's Choice Barbeque Cook-Off (Saturday & Sunday from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.) will pit some of San Diego's favorite grill masters against each other for the title "Best Barbeque Company in the County." After sampling finger lickin' good specialties, the people will vote on their favorite.
The first place winner will receive an award and perhaps most importantly, bragging rights.

The American Home Show will be open to the public with FREE admission from 11:00 a.m. - 8:45 p.m. on Friday, April 5th, from 9:00 a.m. - 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 6th and 11:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7th.
