The Western Society of Weed Science selected Dave Armstrong to be a Honorary Member of the WSWS for contributions and achievements towards the success of the Short Course and as a long time conscientious practitioner of invasive weed management.
Online, March 21, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Dave Armstrong, the Resident Naturalist at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, was honored last week as a new Honorary Member at the awards luncheon on Wednesday during the Western Society of Weed Science annual meeting in Colorado Springs March 10-13th.
Mr. Armstrong was notified in January via email of the honor by Roger Gast,President, Western Society of Weed Science.
The Fellows and Honorary Member Committee members saw ample evidence in Mr. Armstrong's nomination which was submitted by Sandra McDonald, on behalf of the entire Western Invasive Weed Short Course Organizing Committee, of your contributions and achievements towards the success of the Short Course and as a long time conscientious practitioner of invasive weed management.

The Western Society of Weed Science (WSWS) was originally established as the Western Weed Control Conference (WWCC) and had its first annual meeting in Denver in 1938
The objectives of the Western Society of Weed Science are:
