Steve Russ joins [DATUM] as the Strategy Principal over the rapidly growing Data Governance Planning segment of enterprise initiatives where he will help customers establish organizational planning and ownership for EDM initiatives. Mr. Russ had previously held the role of Risk Partner with oversight of all technology implementations of BackOffice Associates’ data governance product line from 2006-2011 where he personally managed dozens of data governance initiatives for customers across retail, consumer products, high-tech, oil & gas, financial services, life sciences and wholesale distribution industries in North America, EMEA and Latin America. Prior to BackOffice Associates Mr. Russ was a key member of the North American delivery team at SAP America.

Mr. Russ will work directly with practice director David Woods and experts Danielle McQuaid and Will Crump in driving deeper data ownership and process optimization through the [DATUM] methodology. In addition to facilitating the strategy cycle within data governance, Mr. Russ will work closely with the [DATUM] Project Management Center of Excellence (COE) to establish rapid deployment standards for EDM initiatives where Data Governance plays a central role.

Along with Mr. Russ, Nina Vishwanath will be joining the [DATUM] Project Management COE. Ms. Vishwanath was formerly a Global Data Governance Lead within the Johnsons & Johnson Consumer Companies. Within the Project Management COE, Ms. Vishwanath will work closely with existing team members and clients on risk mitigation metrics and peer benchmarking criteria. Ms. Vishwanath is also currently enrolled in the Kellogg School of Management pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration.

Both Mr. Russ and Ms. Vishwanath will work directly with Matthew Vandevere, Project Management Practice Lead, to develop increased efficiency, standardization and risk mitigation packages for data governance initiatives across all business domains.
