CIPAce™ Selected by Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) to Manage $1.8 Billion Terminal Redevelopment Program

CIPPlanner's CIPAce™ Program Management Solution has been selected by Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) to manage its upcoming $1.8 billion terminal redevelopment program and its ongoing capital construction projects.

Santa Clara, CA (I-Newswire) May 8, 2013 - CIPPlanner Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise class capital project and program management software, today announced that Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) has selected CIPPlanner's CIPAce™ Program Management Solution. SLCDA will employ CIPAce™ to manage its upcoming $1.8 billion terminal redevelopment program and its ongoing capital construction projects to improve overall management and fiscal accountability.

SLCDA manages and operates the Salt Lake City International Airport, South Valley Regional Airport, and Tooele Valley Airport. SLCDA is an enterprise fund requiring no funding from property taxes, general funds of local governments or special district taxes. SLCDA capital requirements are met from earned surpluses, revenue bonds, passenger facility charges and Federal Aviation Administration grants under the Airport Improvement Program.

In order to administer the complex capital programming, professional services, construction contracting, and administration of the proposed major redevelopment and other ongoing capital projects, SLCDA selected CIPAce™ for its ability to provide robust and comprehensive system functionalities while instilling best practices for capital program management processes. By selecting the CIPAce™ solution, SLCDA will bring the entire life cycle management of capital projects and programs into the digital age. Process transparency, performance visibility and automation will help SLCDA maximize the value of every investment dollar while gaining greater control for its major redevelopment efforts.

CIPAce™ offers SLCDA comprehensive management of every lifecycle aspect, including management of programs, workflow, financial control (funding, budget, and cost controls), purchase orders, contracts, invoices, vendors and compliance, bidding, proposals, documents, design, construction, schedules, change orders, permits, risks, resources and reports, and analytics. In addition, SLCDA will also deploy the powerful CIPAce™ GIS capabilities for greater integration with SLCDA's GIS data to enable permit viewing and geospatial boundary for reporting. Once implemented, the powerful configurability of CIPAce™ as a mature software platform will provide SLCDA a complete system to manage capital projects from inception through completion and closeout within a highly automatic and streamlined environment.
