Christos Prevezas Software Releases New Dermatology Software Application For Body Mole Mapping

Christos Prevezas Software released a new dermatology software application that enables dermatologists to make a body mole mapping of their patients , monitor their skin lesions and assist in the diagnosis of melanoma and other types of cancer.

"Derm Mapper" by Christos Prevezas Software is a newly released dermatology software application that enables dermatologists to make a body mole mapping of their patients and monitor their skin lesions. By supporting dermatologists in monitoring suspicious moles "Derm Mapper" can assist in the diagnosis of melanoma and other types of cancer. The application works either with a standard digital camera or with a dermoscope with live preview.

The patient's moles are mapped on a 3d human model that is divided into 54 anatomical regions, alternatively images of the patient's body regions can also be used to map the location of moles. Each image inserted is accompanied with data such as insertion date, diagnosis, comments, image filename, mole number and body region. By selecting a mole on the 3d human model or the image of the patient's body region, the corresponding mole images are being shown as thumbnails in two columns for image comparison with normal view images and dermatoscopic images.

Images can be opened and viewed in more detail by zooming in, or can be displayed in full screen mode. Two different images can also be viewed for a side by side comparison to monitor lesion progress in full screen mode. It is also possible to easily zoom in to exactly the same point on the two images that are being compared (parallel zoom). Adjustments such as brightness, contrast, sharpen, negative image, grayscale and image rotation can be applied.

"Derm Mapper" has an inbuilt search function that accepts multiple and complex criteria.
For example it is possible to search for images of the past 6 months of women above 40 that have been diagnosed with melanoma. "Derm Mapper" also maintains full patient records and a routine medical procedures file (invasive and laser/lights applications).

Each image can be printed together with its diagnosis, comments and doctor details and can then be emailed directly to the patient or another doctor. A complete file of all patient images and body mapping data for future lesion monitoring can also be exported to a PDF Document or a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
