Buenos Días - Berlin-based Music Distributor RecordJet Launches Its Services in Spanish

- Spanish-language website for international digital music distribution - Specialized label manager for the South American market

Berlin-based music distributor recordJet is internationalizing its services for the second time this year. On December 1, 2013, the young start-up officially launched the Spanish version of its website. The English version of the website already went live on the 1st of April.

"Our primary reason for internationalizing into the Spanish-speaking world is that we sometimes want to head to exotic locations, more palm trees and cocktails. Winter is coming, we have to think ahead", commented Jorin Zschiesche, founder and Captain of recordJet. "But seriously, South America is a relatively untapped market when it comes to digital music distribution. The legal download market in South America is currently up and coming. The first major streaming providers, iTunes, Spotify and Deezer, have already established themselves there. So we are very pleased that we were able to take on-board specially tailored expertise and intercultural competence in the form of our label manager for the Spanish-speaking world, Anton Butter".

Half-Chilean Butter will be on-site, dedicating himself to the acquisition of artists and labels from Spain and Latin America.

"With the internationalization into Spanish, we've checked off the second milestone for 2013. In addition to German, we now offer recordJet's services in two of the most important languages in the world, lowering the barrier to making fair distribution of music accessible to all", said Carolin Wohlschloegel, recordJet's Chief Marketing / Chief Communications Pilot. "We love music, so it's only logical for us to offer our services in the way that we do. In 2014, true to our motto 'Sell your music - stay free', we will continue to work on spreading our vision that music distribution can be a win-win situation for both sides. And perhaps we'll internationalize again soon, but we can't reveal that just yet".

About recordJet:
recordJet is a digital music distributor and content aggregator based in Berlin, helping musicians and labels to sell their music online worldwide. Music uploaded on www.recordjet.com will be distributed to mp3 stores and streaming services like iTunes and Spotify, where the music is then available for sale or for streaming. Unlike other content aggregators, recordJet pays out 100% of the royalties to the musicians which also keep all of their rights, for a small annual fee. Many additional service offerings like physical distribution into 500 shops, CD pressing and professional promotion make recordJet an allround service. recordJet was founded in 2008 with the goal to provide the European music market, especially unknown artists and small labels, with an attractive and affordable way of music distribution. recordJet went online in 2010 and has since then expanded its services continuously. 2013 the company went international with the launch of its highly anticipated English website in April and a Spanish version in December.
