Blackberry Sales Drop 43% For A Given Quarter

The sales for Blackberry would drop by about 43% for the given past quarter in 2012.

The woes for the Blackberry phone making company 'Research in Motion' RIM from Canada has increased even more since last Thursday. Management expects to have a better strategy for the coming years from layoffs being around 5,000. The growing discontent with sales has been the main reason cited around the issue. The sales for the last quarter of 2012 had dropped by 43% to a calculated loss per share of 28 cents.

The beleaguered firm (and now running in losses) RIM had initially expected to make a loss figure of around 14 cent per share, while the Market sentiments indicated to be 3 cent per share. Following the management's decision for a small organization, the streamlined organization would save nearly a billion dollars at the most.

Management of the RIM has been storming through an upheaval of sorts to administer a strategy to effectively sort the issue. There is still a great amount of changes and new avenues expected from the Blackberrys maker RIM. Initially the company expects to split itself into two and then enter the market again for amassing a large sales effort.

On the other hand RIM has the opportunity for a smaller organization as well. The management showed signs to tide over most of the challenges it found itself facing without divulging any details of the problems. Another strategy that the firm already has in mind is to have the Smartphone's launched in the year 2013.

The phone maker with the disastrous strategy of avoiding consumer market is too old to focus on. With sales going still weaker the market analysts would expect an aggressive organization that would endure the maximum competition in all quarters of the game. Rather than being sidelined in the game the strategy for the firm must be to augment efforts and not be sold off to Microsoft or other hungry companies.
