Autovision Announces Call For Entries

The international film and multimedia festival for the automotive industry celebrates its 11th edition - Submissions open now until May 17th, 2013

Starting this week, AutoVision, the international film and multimedia festival for the automotive industry will be accepting entries for its 11th edition. Companies from the automotive sector, advertising and new media agencies, producers and TV stations are invited to enter their work and join the race for the prestigious AutoVision OttoCars. The gold, silver and black trophies will be awarded on September 11th, 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Founded in 1993, the biennial award ceremony has become one of the highlights of the world's largest motor show, the IAA in Frankfurt. During its 20 years of existence the festival managed to position itself as the top festival for film, multimedia and production in the automotive sector, counting with almost 300 entries from in 2011.

"The previous editions of AutoVision have seen an impressive selection of creative work from the automotive industry. In 2013 we hope to continue the success and are looking forward to exciting new entries in film and new media", says Alexander V. Kammel, President of Filmservice International and Director of the AutoVision Festival.

Entries can be made online. There are seven main categories: Commercials (TV and Cinema), TV Programs, Websites, Interactive/Multimedia, Informational Films, Product Presentation Films and several categories for Production Arts & Crafts, all divided into 48 sub-categories.

All productions that have been aired, produced or online after January 1st, 2011 and are submitted until May 17th, 2013 are eligible. Contestants of the Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage, Staatspreis Wirtschaftsfilm and Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards benefit from cumulative special rates.

AutoVision also offers the unique possibility for students from all over the world to present themselves and their works on a worldwide stage. Furthermore, students benefit from a 50% reduction of entry fees in all categories.
