Online, June 6, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Kelley Kronenberg, a national full-service law firm, announced that attorney Claire E. B. Garza has joined the firm's Houston office. Ms. Garza handles matters involving Admiralty and Maritime law, including claims arising under the general Maritime law, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, Jones Act and the Defense Base Act (DBA), as well as a variety of energy-related matters.
Outside the office, Ms. Garza is affiliated with several industry organizations including the Maritime Law Association of the United States, Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, Women's International Shipping & Trading Association, Houston Mariners Club, Garland Walker Inn of Court, and the Association of Women Attorneys. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Young Lawyer's Association, and the Texas Young Lawyer's Association.
Ms. Garza received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and her Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law. While attending law school, she was admitted into the South Texas College of Law Pro Bono Honors Program in recognition of her dedication to providing pro bono assistance to pro se litigants. Additionally, during her final semester of law school she served as a Judicial Intern at the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston.
Ms. Garza is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
