Atex Completes Successful 2012 with CBC Deal

Marking a successful completion to the 2012 calendar year, Atex (www.atex.com) signed a contract with The Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC), Canada's public broadcaster.

CBC purchased the industry-leading Atex Web Content Management system powered by Polopoly.

CBC will be implementing a hosted enterprise-wide Atex Web CMS platform, including Atex Text Mining. The Atex system will serve content for CBC News (cbc.ca/news) and CBC Sports (cbc.ca/sports), which are two of the highest traffic websites in Canada.

"CBC was looking for a next-generation content management platform that will enable us to remain strategically focused on meeting our mandate to produce great sports and news content," said Soo Kim, Senior Director at CBC. "We chose Atex because it is newsroom-ready out of the box. More than any other content management system, Atex has the features to support our digital newsroom workflows, the integration points for broadcast and digital technology, and a framework for expansion and configuration."

"We are proud to welcome CBC as an Atex customer and we are especially pleased to extend our product footprint in the broadcast industry," said Peter Marsh, Atex Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Our products are proven in the global media market and it's clear that the Atex value proposition is resonating across print, digital and broadcast channels."

The Atex project at CBC is under way immediately. Please visit www.atex.com for further information.
