Are Interfaith Churches the New Face of Religion?

The Beloved Community Interfaith church meets for a Celebration Services Sunday morning at 10:00 A.M. in West Shore Office park at 5006 Lenker Street (Pine building), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, near the city of Harrisburg.

(I-Newswire) September 13, 2010 - HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania - Imagine a church that teaches no dogma, doesn’t tell its members what to believe and is not affiliated with any denomination yet honors and respects all religions and faiths. Imagine a church that welcomes all no matter what religion they follow be it, Hindu, Muslim, Pagan, Taoist, Jew, Christian, Buddhist, Native American and more.

September 12, 2010 such a church was launched in the Harrisburg area by Reverend Donna M. Kopitsky, an ordained Interfaith minister after a two year program at the New Seminary in New York City. The mission of the Beloved Community Interfaith church is to be a community of the Divine Love that is present in all religions and to express that Light and Love in all we think, say and do. The vision of the Beloved Community is to create a vibrantly alive, dynamic community of Spiritual Seekers that inspires, uplifts and unconditionally supports, loves and accepts all who come to our celebrations and activities. The church is a welcoming congregation and inclusive.

The Sunday services are not worship services but celebrations of life, love and peace. This Interfaith church will never tell you what to believe but offers tools for spiritual growth so each one who attends can nurture their own Divinity which is within each and every one of us. This Interfaith community supports and nurtures its members to express the love and compassion of God and to help heal those who are unable to that at this time. The church also plans on being involved in the community spreading God’s love, peace and compassion.

The goal of the Beloved Community Interfaith church is to assist in releasing the barriers that keep people of various faiths separate and that prevents people from being who they are meant to be as beloved children of the Divine. Music, prayers, affirmations, sharing a special message, meditation and healing are what happens each time the congregation gathers together. The Beloved Community is an experience that is life changing and transforming. It is a community where those who attend come together to celebrate Oneness, to connect with one another and the Divine. There are no requirements or pre-requisites to participate except to come with an open mind and heart. Our Race is Human. Our God is Love. Our religion is Oneness. "To see what God sees, to know what God knows, to feel as God feels. The Beloved sees only The Beloved." This is our vision, our goal, our only desire.
