Along with the companion programs; 2014 National Quilt Day; People, Pets, and Practically Everything Else; and Funky Fun with Quilts, celebrating National Quilt Day has never been so much fun!

National Quilting Day began in June 1991, as a result of a resolution passed by members of the National Quilting Association, Inc., to begin sponsoring the annual day of observance, on the third Saturday in March. Gradually, through the years, it has unofficially expanded to the entire month of March. Quilt makers have a long standing tradition of producing beautiful and functional heirlooms, and for generations, they have made contributions to their families as well as the communities in which they live.
