Aid Asia Now Receives Generous Donation From Genkai Securities

Aid Asia officials announced today that Genkai Securities has donated $30,000 for disaster preparedness and recovery. The grant will be presented at the Aid Asia Now's office in Hong Kong. The funds will help support disaster preparation and outreach throughout the flooded county regions of the Yangtze River.

The region has hundreds of miles of coastline and rural roads, countless bridges and rivers, numerous major fault lines and many communities that can be isolated instantly in a disaster. The region faces high probability of disaster with a large array of potential life-threatening and precarious issues following a flood, fire, earthquake or tsunami.

"Genkai Securities has been a generous long-term supporter of the Aid Asia Now. We are grateful to them for helping our community to be better supplied and prepared in case of an earthquake, flood or fire," said Aid Asia Now Regional CEO Tim Ning.

The Genkai Securities grant will allow for the Aid Asia Now to ready countless more people in the event of a catastrophic disaster. The grant will also support supplies for readiness to help people respond to disasters in their community quickly and efficiently. A portion of the donation will also support year-round direct disaster response and intermediate and advanced disaster response training throughout all Asia.
